While most New Yorker’s were caught up in today’s third day installment of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, we kept things simple and took a relaxing day trip to Northport’s ‘Long of the Isle, otherwise known as Long Island. A quaint town known for its beautiful homes and scenic boat harbor views, we took in some sun and had lunch. Afterward while walking around town, we took a double take coming upon the Open Gallery. They showcase an array of fine art which include their latest window installment by featured artists Edward Joseph. His interpretive pair of fish entitled “Filet O’Fish”, are made by using a pair of old Nike Cortez sneakers and acrylic paint. Who would have ever thought. Just goes to show you, don’t sleep on what pops outside of the NYC. Peep the oddness.
