The rumors of a live-action movie adaption by none other than Spike Jonze for “Where The Wild Things Are” is all true. Originally written by Brooklyn native Maurice Sendak, the picture book was published in 1963 and is regarded today as an American classic in children’s literature. The book tells the story of a young boy named Max getting into mischief one evening in his home. For punishment, his mother sends him to his room without dinner, where it opens up into a magical land of the Wild Things. We’re all about living in the land of imagination these days. Those interested mark your calendar as it is set to open in theatres October 16th, 2009. Come with your Goobers and an open mind!
