If you’re looking for something festive to do this weekend without putting a dent into your wallet, might we suggest that you mark your calendar for this Saturday, October 3rd. The first annual MBP Urban Arts Festival, will be held at the newly built Castle Braid housing complex and art developement in Bushwick, Brooklyn. We have to say, this is a pretty amazing place with an unbelievable amount of features and activities available.

For those seeking community and street culture art, then this is your answer. Produced by art advocate and publisher Mark Batty, the event will provide a positive outlet for emerging and established artists within the urban art communities. Dutch creative production agency Shop Around was invited to participate in this event. Shop Around illustrator Tijn Snoodijk transformed his character Umberto into several Pop stars, which we will be exhibited during this festival. Guests will have the opportunity to participate and make their own version of the Umberto pop star. The best ones will be added to the exhibition, and have their work featured in a published magazine later this year.

The Urban Arts Festival will also showcase live painting, skateboard demos, music performances, DJs, photography and other art installations.
