For those of you that missed out on last weekend’s MPB Urban Art Festival , here is a recap of the festivities. Our favorite Dutch creative production agency Shop Around represented one of its finest artist Tijn Snoodijk at the first annual exhibition. Tijn is mainly known as a writer and illustrator of unusual, hilarious and highly praised children’s books. He has been drawing his character Umberto as a weekly cartoon full of fun and great ideas. For this exhibition Umberto goes ‘Pop’. Tijn transformed his beloved character into 15 well known and lesser-known music artists and challenged the visitors to do the same. With lots of enthusiasm visitors transformed the Umberto character into a pop star of their own liking. The result was a brightly colored wall full of Umberto pop legends. We’re loving it- peep the video below for a few more characters in the making.
