Cubannie Links creator Annie Basulto drops nine new highly anticipated styles as part of her Fall/Winter- ’09/’10 collection entitled “Inner Goddess”. For the past two years the young accessory brand has been steadily building momentum, catering fashion fearless women with a colorful array of bold sparkles and gems. This season new styles include the Taino earring inspired by the Indian tribe that inhabited what is now Cuba, the must have Sweetwater bar ring, the Cortina and Sombra gold chains for your eyewear, the delicate beauty of the crystal Oro rosary, the knock em’ dead Guerra gold bullet chain, as well as three new delectable bracelet wrist riders entitled La Dinamica, Milagros and the one inch Dulce.

To bring the Inner Goddess vision to life, Basulto collaborated with yours truly, R.A.W. Creative Agency to conceptualize and spearhead the photoshoot campaign. Its been an amazing venture! A team of talented professionals were brought together this past August, and included photographer Elixabet as well as RARE team members Makeup Artist Fatima Sheikh and Hairstylist Alana Lucas. Shot on location, RARE owner and celebrity stylist Ruth Roche also made a guest appearance to provide consultation, along with nail artist Lashunda Davis, owner of chic Brooklyn based beauty bar CureBK. R.A.W. team graphic designer Twitch masterfully crafted the CL lookbook layout .

Based on three distinct cultures and mythological deities from around the globe, Inner Goddess is an exploration of female power and suggestion parralled by todays contemporary professional hustler. Flossed in clothing provided by Hellz (much thanks & respect), NYC founder of Hardbody Crew, legendary BGirl Kaotic Blaze was transformed in the the Hindu spirit of Lakshmi, DMC ’08 battle warrior DJ Mirandom embodied the essence of the Egyptian Hathor and dancer/model Irmak Ayverdi seduced as the Aztec goddess of beauty Xochiquetzal. Stay tuned as we will also be dropping an exclusive behind the scenes video short featuring some of the 600 plus photoshoot outakes with music provided by hybrid-artist Dana La Rock. This is one you won’t want to miss. In the meantime treat yourself to some of the eye candy below. Enjoy!
