HELLZ x VANS | Spring ’10 Footwear Release
The first quarter of the new year is looking very promising for womens athletic footwear. Last July we learned about the joint venture between lifestyle brand Hellz and iconic skate company Vans to produce their two-shoe capsule. The two new styles feature the Hadley boot and Sofie shoe (very a la Chorus Line chic) which embodies all things “tomboy chic” and “edgy feminine” according to Hellz frontwoman Lanie Alabanza-Barcena.
The Hadley is inspired by Barcena’s love for vintage motorcycle boots with zippers and metal lace eye hooks that detail the black leather high top. The Sophie is an updated saddle shoe that’s been stripped down and built from the ground up with Hellz’s unique design aesthetic: Die cuts, metallic color blocking and buckle straps. Now for the price- we’re loving these affordable stunners at $85.00 for the Hadley and $65.00 for the Sophie. Both will be available at Special Sauce and other specialty boutiques shortly.
