This past Saturday Heineken hosted the Inspire music event held in New York City producing an all star line up and larger than life interactive space providing guests complimentary beer and food stations serving bite size treats like tacos, beef patties, and hot dogs for the hungry. Doors opened promptly at 3pm taking place inside a transformed warehouse space for one night with surround sound and light show to match. Those guests lucky enough to attend had to request a spot on the list by texting an rsvp with one of several “encore” codes provided by select blog outlets. In turn have the opportunity to enjoy the interactive stations that included an on premise recording studio, impromptu domino & spade game play as well as gallery showcase with signature brands Good Wood, Hot Air, Gourmet Sneakers and local artist Justin Bua. DJs included a two hour electro infused sets by Roxy Cottontail, classic Hip Hop by legendary Pete Rock, and dubstep maestro Diplo ( we took note of the “Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites” track from the soon to release new EP from Skrillex). Special guest performances included Roc Nation label artist J. Cole performing songs that included “Who Dat”?, Dres of Black Sheep, Nas who closed out the event. Cee Lo Greene came prepared with a full on female back up band we were loving- so was the audience, not to mention a crowd favorite with “F&%! You”. We spied a few celebs in the mix as well that included Omarion and Amber Rose along with a few of our favorite bloggers that like Ms. Yoshi (we love her-for some more good looks take a visit to her site). Special thanks to AC of Team Epiphany for an easy entry and great night.
