Official Press Release:
Special DJ Set Featuring Material from their Upcoming Album “Electric Love”

WHAT’S HAPPENING: W New York invites you to The Living Room for an exclusive DJ set by the legendary U.K. electronic/pop act Dirty Vegas. The event will celebrate the release of their new single “Electric Love” just released on Om Records and will provide guests with the chance to hear material from their new album, also titled Electric Love, due out April 26.

THE BACKGROUND: Made famous by their 2001 smash “Days Go By,” the Grammy Award-winning British trio has helped pave the way for electronic music into the mainstream. With Ben Harris and Paul Harris (no relation) on instruments and production, and Steve Smith on vocals, Dirty Vegas has certainly enjoyed success over the past decade. A year after the group formed in 2001, their debut album “Days Go By” reached the UK top 20. The title track then went on to gain wide exposure in the U.S. and won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. Between 2002 and 2004, Dirty Vegas released their self-titled album and another entitled One. Then, after a near four year hiatus, they decided to reform to make more of the music that made them famous with Electric Love. The album’s first single “Electric Love,” with its bass-heavy dance floor stomp is now making waves with a video featuring actress Jena Malone (The Soloist, Donnie Darko), and stellar remixes by up and comers like Eli Escobar, Runaways (DFA Records), Cassette Club and more.
