Last night was an event to remember with the pre-party and launch of the highly anticipated Barneys x GaGa’s Workshop and campaign. Walking passed the front entrance there was a barrage of fans and camera’s flashing anxiously awaiting the arrival of GaGa herself. Upon entry into Barneys, Naomi Yasuda (lady of the hour) and your’s truly were escorted to the elevator along with other guests ready to get to the fifth floor festivities. Doors openened with friendly smiles awaited offering some bubbly and amazing bites to eat throughout the night.

First stop was the workshop, where a beautifully crafted and over the top size display held it’s post. We had to stop and take a few pictures for this one. Making your way through the maze of products available is like a bedazzled candy colored wonderland featuring a variety of sweet edibles, apparel, accessory keepsakes by such designers as Kerin Rose A-Morir as well as monster stuffed animals (of course). If you are looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for your loved one, you are sure to find it here. Prices range and are very pocket friendly for every shopper. Best of all you can make a purchase knowing that 25% of the proceeds will go directly to the Born This Way organization.

Next we finally made our way to the nail display showcasing designs created by Naomi exclusively for Barneys. Lovely mannequin hands grace four of Naomi’s limited designs made possible by KissUSA brand, who worked tirelessly to manufacture and package the final result. Those interested can purchase them for $45 each as they are limited to 500 pieces each. Huge thanks and gratitude to team Kiss!

The collection also features two amazing limited nail designs manufactured and packaged by Minx Nails. The new application technology for these graphic stickers are $35 each with only 500 units made each. Major thanks to both the East and West coast teams for activating this project.

Lastly are the creme de la creme hand crafted marvels. Painstaking work went into these which took over 2 months to complete. Three designs were created-“Flames”, “Gold Objects”, and “Black & White” (30 pairs each and available for $225). A total of 1,440 nails were cut and painted with semi-precious gemstones & swarvoski crystals applied. Each is packaged in it’s own personalized logo box with confetti packaging.

The night rounded out with a who’s who of party goers that included Alexander Wang, Christian Siriano, Neil Patrick Harris, Blake Lively to name a few and concluded with an appearance by GaGa herself adorned in Chanel Haute Couture cheering on the crowd and made her way to the workshop for a bit of shopping. Champagne flowed while classic rock gems played in the background. In all a great night.
