After record breaking pre-sale tickets sold out in under 30 seconds for the highly anticipated Cosmic Opera opening experience on February 24th, a second date has been added for Thursday, February 23rd. What is said to be the first of it’s kind, approximately 3,000 electronic music lovers will experience a 360 degree extra-sensory night at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. According to founder and event coordinator Justin Cohen, guests will be entertained by over 50 live performers that will include opera singers, dancers, aerialists, acrobatics, live musicians and DJs. Swedish House Mafia member Axwell is also confirmed to not only DJ the carnival inspired atmosphere, but will also be responsible for the musical bill. The full details of Cosmic Opera’s unveiling is still under wraps, but it’s clear that attendee’s can expect an audio and visual display taking the EDM genre to new heights.

Cosmic Opera is an intimate, extrasensory dance event series combining the cast and high-value production of a renaissance opera spectacle with an over-the-top dance music concert. Set to take place in the beautiful Hammerstein Ballroom, Cosmic Opera will combine electronic music, art, and production in its highest form from across the centuries. Electronic music and theatrical production will be rolled into one, with never-before seen laser and lighting elements integrated with dramatic, opera-themed activations spread throughout the venue.
Axwell, the DJ mogul and producer superstar who will be inaugurating the series, is also a creator and partner in bringing Cosmic Opera to life. He will be overseeing the musical and performance elements as well as adding his 15+ years of concert expertise, veteran producer talents and timeless dance-music knowledge to Cosmic Opera.
