Based out of Berlin and formed by Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer & Paul Prick, the 10-piece ensemble Brandt Brauer Frick is an amalgamation of electronic beats, jazz and classical music that takes you on a journey, experimenting withe a wide variety of colorful sound. their music is made with love from scratch- literally.
US audiences have seen the Berlin-based group perform as a three-piece at dates including Coachella, MoogFest and more. This summer for the first time, at a special Lincoln Center engagement, Americans will have the opportunity to see the full 10-piece Ensemble incarnation, which has been the talk of big-ticket European festivals including Glastonbury, Sonar, and Big Chill. Brandt Brauer Frick will also be performing a few select dates as a trio, including the U Street Music Hall in Washington, DC, Osheaga in Montreal, and a second NYC show at Santos Party House on August 3rd.
Brandt Brauer Frick use electronic dance music and techno as a jumping-off point to explore a full spectrum of sounds, created primarily with symphonic instruments including piano, tympani, harp, strings and horns. The group has recorded two albums for !K7, 2010’s You Make Me Real and 2011’s Mr. Machine (as The Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble).
