These are one of those very special keepsake book collectibles that you’ll treasure for a lifetime. Curated by Basma Hamdy & Don Karl along with their Walls of Freedom team for the last year and a half, they have collaborated with 50 photographers, 30 artists and 20 authors to create a one of a kind documentation of Egypt’s revolution and urban art scene by working closely with a network of leading artists on mural projects, events and exhibitions.
For those of you internationally bound for some artistic inspiration, graffiti and multi-media artist Indie will be showcasing her first solo exhibition entitled “Wild At heart” in Paris this Thursday February 7th at the Galerie MathGoth. The NYC based artist will be offering over a dozen new paintings using black and white photographs of women, stencil, marker and brushes with the integration of collages.
New York based street art & graffiti trio Art Off Paper embark on their newest showcase set to take place in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on November 26th at The End Studio. Those unfamiliar with their work and looking to attend a great evening event can expect artists Brendan Munday, Jared Long and Chris Malfi to present the unexpected featuring a variety of found objects, textiles and spray paint creating a collage of expressive, dark & moody images sure to keep you guessing.
Beginning this July 8th and running through August 1st Sweet Things is an all female urban art group show focusing on canvases, prints, photography, illustration and merchandise of emerging female urban artists, as well as legendary, internationally-recognized female artists. Curated by Indie184 and Andrea Von Bujoss aka “Queen Andrea”, the soon the open exhibition explores works by some of todays most talented artists that include: Aiko, Martha Cooper, Gillian Goldstein, Motel7, Koralie, Mickey, Jules Muck, Klor, Queen Andrea, Indie184 and Sherm within the graffiti, urban illustration, tattoo art, portraiture and fashion genres.
Kicks N Canvas asked Insa along with 20 other artists to create a pair of custom sneakers and a 50cm x 50cm (1.64 feet) original piece to compliment the shoes. These are definitely a pair of stunners, this is the first and only pair of of customs that Insa has done in the past 5 years. So if you are a lucky Men (US7) or Woman (US 8.5) you’re in luck. These exclusives will be served along with a ladies size INSA swoosh tee. Packaged in a premium box and tissue paper. There will be a private viewing this Thursday, April 8th from 6:30pm – 10pm.

After three months of planning we finally dropped the Street HeART exhibition held this past Thursday at the newly opened Sauce gallery in Huntington. We teamed up in conjunction with the Guardian Brain Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides financial support and counseling services to adults, children and their families dealing with brain trauma and cancer diagnosis. Twenty-two artists and 40 pieces of art spanning from New York to the Netherlands are currently being featured and are for sale, with 100% of the proceeds going to the non-profit foundation.
Nothing says giving back to your community than a little creativity and a whole lot of color. Instead of simply accepting the unpleasant look of an overpass, the city council of Rotterdam took it upon themselves to spruce up this local danger zone area by adding candy color pink to their viaduct system.
