Bic Plastics have recruited the talents of 13 artists within street art and design for their first Bic Buddy artist series of mini figurines. To celebrate the release of these new vinyl toys they will be hosting 3 in-store signings in Los Angeles (Crewest), New York (Toy Tokyo) on August 21st, and Chicago (Rotofugi) on August 22nd. If you fancy yourself some DJ A-Trak you’ll have the opportunity to meet him this June 1st along with artist Joshua Prince, otherwise known as Dust La Rock. To celebrate the upcoming Grateful Bear figurine designed by La Rock, Kid Robot will be will be hosting a pre-release and signing at the NY location on Prince Street from 6-8pm. The collectible will retail for $50.00 and will be limited to 500 pieces only. The vinyl toy stands 8-inches tall, and comes with removeable accessories that include a fitted baseball hat, gold-plated necklace, leather cuff, cotton sweatband, snow-capped igloo, and wayfarers. The 400% Daft Punk Be@rbrick will soon be released with it’s second Twin Pack of the French electronic duo. It is slated to drop first in Japan on October 24, then release worldwide in March 2009. More after the blast.
